OBJECTIVES

This course is designed to equip you with essential lifesaving skills and practical techniques to respond effectively during emergencies. Through hands-on practice and theory-based learning, you will develop the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and safely.

By the end of the course, participants  will be able to:

  • Assess Emergency Situations:
    Quickly evaluate an incident to identify hazards and determine the necessary steps to help the injured.

  • Administer Basic First Aid:
    Provide immediate care for common injuries such as cuts, burns, fractures, and other accidents until professional help is available.

  • Perform CPR Effectively:
    Execute high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults, children, and infants, including proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) when needed.

  • Communicate Under Pressure:
    Clearly communicate with emergency services and bystanders, ensuring accurate information is passed on to facilitate swift medical intervention.

  • Follow Safety Protocols:
    Apply essential safety measures for both yourself and the casualty to prevent further injury during the emergency response.

■ How to assess an emergency scene (DRABC – Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation)
■ How to perform CPR (for adults and children)
■ How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
■ How to help someone who is choking
■ How to stop bleeding and treat wounds
■ How to put someone in the recovery position
■ What to do in common medical emergencies (e.g. heart attack, seizure, fainting)
